TL;DR: Other optimizers ship ~20-50 tweaks. Veyra's catalog has 491 — because FPS doesn't come from one registry key, it comes from removing 30 layers of Windows bloat at once.

The 6 categories that matter

Estimated impact on our mid-range test rig (i5-12400F + RTX 3060): GameDVR off alone = +4-6% FPS, scheduler + power = +7-9%, visual effects + telemetry = +5-8%. Stacked = ~25% before memory/power plan.

1. GameDVR / GameBar / Background Recording

Even when you toggle "Game Mode off", Windows keeps GameDVR_Enabled and capture services running. Veyra disables GameDVR, GameBar presence writer and background recording services. Frees 3-7% CPU/GPU overhead — especially in Valorant and Fortnite.

2. Power & CPU Scheduler

Forces high-performance scheduler, disables dynamic tick on AC, sets Win32PrioritySeparation to favor foreground games and tweaks MMCSS (Multimedia Class Scheduler) to prioritize game threads.

3. Visual Effects & Compositing

Disables animations, shadows, and throttles DWM. Not eye-candy loss in-game — only desktop compositing. Saves VRAM and reduces present latency.

4. Network Throttling

Disables Nagle's algorithm, sets TCPNoDelay, sets NetworkThrottlingIndex to 10-70 for games, and disables Windows auto-tuning heuristics that hurt jitter. Pair with Option 9 (Flush caches) for best ping.

5. Telemetry & Background Tasks

Kills 30+ scheduled tasks: Compatibility Telemetry, Customer Experience, OneDrive updaters, Office telemetry. Fewer threads fighting your game cores.

6. SysMain / Prefetch / Search Index

On SSDs, SysMain (Superfetch) and prefetch do more harm than good — Veyra disables it on SSD, keeps it on HDD. Reduces random stutter in open-world games like GTA V.

How to use it safely

  1. Open Veyra Optimization OS → press 2 (Optimise Windows).
  2. Pick Safe profile (default) — journal is created automatically.
  3. Reboot if prompted, then game. Don't like it? Press 10 → Undo last run.
# Command line — silent safe profile
veyra.exe /optimise:safe /silent
# Aggressive (for low-end rigs, more gains, more changes)
veyra.exe /optimise:aggressive
Safe vs Aggressive: Safe disables only non-critical telemetry. Aggressive also strips Windows Search indexing and some Defender cloud lookups — more FPS, but re-enable indexing if you search files often. Both are reversible.
