Repair System Files (DISM + SFC) — when to run it
Option 8 queues DISM RestoreHealth then SFC scannow correctly. Fixes 0xc000007b, DXGI errors, and stutter after bad updates.
Option 8 — Repair System Files · DISM → SFC
~5-10 mins · Fully logged · No data lossCorrupt system stores are why games crash after a Windows update even though your drivers are fine. Two tools fix it — but order matters.
Why DISM first, then SFC?
- DISM /RestoreHealth repairs the component store (the source SFC uses).
- SFC /scannow then repairs protected system files from that clean store.
Running SFC alone often fails if the store is corrupt. Veyra queues them correctly and logs to C:\Windows\Logs\.
When to run Option 8
- After major Windows updates (25H2 etc.)
- Games crash with
0xc000007b,DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG, or missingVCRUNTIME140.dll - Random stutter after updating drivers

Not a tweak — a repair. No FPS gain directly, but fixes the crashes that block FPS. Run before reinstalling games/drivers.
