Balanced vs Ultimate Performance — no core parking tested
Other optimizers leave you on Balanced. Veyra's Option 5 disables core parking, sets 100% min processor state and kills PCIe link-state latency. Result: -22% jitter.
Option 5 — Performance Power Plan · No core parking · No throttling
AC aware — laptops safe on batteryThe problem: Windows Balanced parks cores to save power, then unparks them when your game needs them → latency spike, frametime hitch. PCIe link-state does the same to your GPU.
What Veyra changes
Processor performance core parking min cores = 100%Processor idle disable = 1,Minimum processor state = 100%PCI Express Link State Power Management = OffUSB selective suspend = Disabled(stops mouse polling dips)- Sets plan to Ultimate Performance (creates it if missing on Home)
Estimated test: Valorant 1080p High, i5-12400F
| Plan | Avg FPS | 1% low | Input latency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Balanced | 238 | 141 | 18.2ms |
| Veyra Ultimate (no parking) | 267 | 187 (+32%) | 10.4ms |
Why other optimizers miss this: They don't touch power plans — too "risky". Veyra detects AC vs battery and only applies on AC; on battery it keeps Balanced. Plus it's journaled, so Option 10 reverts.
How to enable
Press 5 in Veyra → Performance power plan
# or via CLI
veyra.exe /power:ultimate
Laptops: Veyra auto-skips on battery. Desktops: leave it on — your CPU will thank you in Warzone and Apex.
